DCM Surfaces Offer Peace of Mind through Regular CRB/DBS Checks
DBS Checks or CRB checks as they are commonly known are carried out to ensure that employees are safe to work with children and vulnerable adults as their job may require them to do so.
Now referred to as DBS checks because The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) have merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certain projects require us to have these in place for each employee attending site.
DCM Surfaces install a number of our products into schools, nurseries, care homes and other healthcare settings. Our installers could come into direct contact witch children or vulnerable adults within such settings and environments and therefore are required to hold valid CRB clearance in order to be allowed onto the premises.
We take these checks extremely seriously as an employer and all employees undergo a DBS check prior to their employment commencing with DCM Surfaces. Should anything flag up which restricts them from working with children or adults then we would terminate the offer of employment as we would never risk the safety of a child or adult given the work which we carry out within such settings.
Not to mention that in fact, it is against the law for employers to employ someone or allow them to volunteer for working with children or vulnerable adults if they know they’re on one of the barred lists.
If you would like more details regarding our CRB or DBS check process then please do not hesitate to contact us and we would be more than happy to aid you further and provide further information.
