Polymeric surfacing for multi use games areas (MUGAs)
Polymeric surfaces are most commonly used as multi-use sports pitches in schools, community centres and sports clubs.
A polymeric surface uses rubber EPDM with a similar structure to a wet pour play surface, but is adapted making it ideal for sport and games
The top layer rubber is laid thinner than a play surface making it firmer underfoot, but retains impact absorbing characteristics.
An additional anti-slip spray coating allows for all-weather participation. The anti-slip coating is available in a variety of colours, commonly green, red or blue. Line marking is also available creating multi-use areas ideal for; football, hockey, basketball and netball.
The multi-use games areas (MUGAs) can be completed with fencing and netting options for enclosed, low maintenance pitches. The polymeric surface is porous, allowing water to drain through, meaning pitches can be used all year round.
DCM Surfaces routinely install polymeric sports surfaces working directly with schools, sports and athletic clubs, and main contractors on projects of various size.
All DCM Surfaces staff are DBS checked and approved and we provide a flexible working arrangement with schools working during holiday periods, weekends and limiting disruption when possible.
