Absorb A Fall: The premier-choice in wet pour safety surfacing

Wet Pour (wetpour) is the name given to the safety surface commonly used on a playground floor in play areas, schools and nurseries. It can also be used for paths, pool surrounds, walkways and around sports pitches.

The surface consists of EPDM rubber crumb and solvent free binder which is then installed to specific measured depths to provide a soft, impact absorbing surface. Wet pour is porous allowing water to drain through and the use of rubber crumb ensures the surface maintains it integrity year round i.e. it is not prone to hardening during winter months.

The components of DCM Surfaces wet pour are sourced from exceptionally reputable suppliers in the UK and Western Europe only.

DCM Surfaces install Absorb-a-Fall on playgrounds working directly with schools and nurseries on projects of various size, designs and colour mixes. Wet pour is an ideal play surface to use in schools due to its safety quality, absorbing impact of possible falls and also provides the ability to create a variety of designs for themed play. Popular themes include; space and stars, beaches, lettering and numbers which research suggests stimulates learning during play.

All DCM Surfaces staff are DBS checked and approved and we provide a flexible working arrangement with schools working during holiday periods, weekends and limiting disruption where possible.

DCM Surfaces have completed wet pour projects at numerous high profile venues including Premier League and Football League stadiums; Manchester City, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers amongst others - pictures can be found below in our gallery.

We have also had the privilege of being chosen to create a safe play surface at the new Alder Hey Childrens Hospital site in Liverpool. The play surface provides a vibrant, welcoming finish to an eye catching entrance.

DCM Surfaces hold strong relationships with a number of Councils and Local Authorities throughout the UK and we are trusted with installing safe play surfaces to public play areas - creating visually stunning designs to match.
