TRIP HAZARDS
An unexpected change in levels. Changes in levels of surfaces should not present any hazard to the user of the area.

The fading of the materials that are exposed to ultraviolet radiation.

UV DISCOLOURATION

The yellowing of materials that are exposed to ultraviolet radiation.

UV RESISTANT

UV RESISTANT
UV resistance is defined as the ability of a material to resist ultra violet (UV) light or sunlight. UV light or sunlight will cause non-resistant materials and surfaces to fade or discolor.

WEAR PADS

WEAR PADS
Areas within the wetpour which have additional binder content, making them suitable for high wear areas such as underneath roundabouts or swings. These are usually coloured differently to the rest of the surface, and can be in the shape of a graphic such as an arrow or circle.

WEARING (SURFACE) COURSE
The visible upper surface layer that carries the traffic. Also known as the surface course.

WETPOUR

WETPOUR
The process of mixing resin and rubber granules together in a forced action mixer, then laying to a smooth, trowelled finish.
