Rubber surfaces Gravel Surfaces Artificial Grass Rubber-Gravel Mix Macadam Rubber surfaces Rubber Based Surfaces Rubber based safety surfaces are designed to cushion the impact of a fall and reduce the severity of an injury. We can advise you on all aspects of safety surfacing, from working out critical fall height measurements to calculating the overall thickness required… All of our rubber based surfaces offer the following benefits: • Comply with safety standards • Year round usage • Environmentally friendly and non-toxic • Easy to maintain • Porous • Wide range of colours and designs Wet Pour Rubber Mulch Polymeric A granulated rubber crumb safety surface, ideal for areas requiring impact protection such as playgrounds and play areas. Applications: Playgrounds, schools, nurseries, sports pitch perimeters, pool surrounds, equestrian, residential, zoos, paths and walkways Benefits:• Contours to create shapes and designs • Suitable for wheelchair users, prams and buggies• Achieve Critical Fall Heights and safety surface requirements Material: Polyurethane bound EPDM wearing course and SBR base course. Foundations: Wet pour can be installed onto a prepared hard surface, such as stone (MOT) or macadam. It can also overlay existing wet pour. Critical Fall Heights will vary depending on the sub-base used. Designed for landscaping where a natural looking material is required for an unusual shaped area such as a tree pit or mound. Applications: Playgrounds, schools, nurseries, public play areas, tree pits, paths and walkways. Benefits: • Helps to prevent weeds when laid onto a geotextile weed membrane• Unlike natural bark, there is no risk of degradation, rotting or blowing away• Suitable for wheelchair users, prams and buggies• Achieve Critical Fall Heights and safety surface requirements Material: Colour coated recycled shredded rubber, bound with polyurethane Foundations: Mulch can be installed onto macadam, stone surfaces or directly onto grass. Critical Fall Heights will vary depending on the sub-base used. A polymeric surface is a 12-15mm EPDM surface with an anti-slip coating and line markings to suit requirements. Applications: Playgrounds, multi use game areas, athletic tracks, and sporting arenas Benefits: • Anti-slip• Allows optional line markings for sports• Moderate shock absorption to reduce impact force when running • Ideally suited for a variety of sports including tennis, basketball, football, athletics, general sports, recreational training and play Material: Polyurethane bound EPDM rubber. Foundations: Polymeric is installed onto an open textured macadam surface. Gravel Surfaces Gravel Based Surfaces Our decorative gravel-based surfaces provide a contemporary, hard-wearing and low-maintenance finish which is perfect for both domestic and commercial use. All of our gravel based surfaces offer the following benefits: • Durable and hard wearing • Visually appealing • Year round usage Bound Gravel Bonded Gravel Self-Binding As our most popular decorative gravel surface, resin bound delivers a durable, permeable and long-lasting finish. Applications: Driveways, paths and walkways, tree pits, car parks, courtyards and heritage gardens. Features and Benefits:• Incorporate logos / designs • Range of colours available• Permeable / SuDS compliant Materials: 16-24mm natural aggregate, bound together with a UV or non UV stable resin. Foundations: Bound gravel can be installed onto min 50mm AC14 open texture binder course. A non-porous surface which mimics the appearance of loose gravel, providing a natural looking finish and rough texture. Applications: Walkways, footpaths, landscapes, and courtyards Features and Benefits:• Mimics the appearance of loose gravel • Rough texture for a natural appearance• Not permeable Materials: 3mm natural aggregate, bonded onto resin. Foundations: Bonded gravel can be installed onto a combined surface of min 25mm dense surface course macadam and min 50mm dense binder course. A low-cost surface which is favoured by those who prefer a natural looking finish. Applications: Golf courses, canal paths, and bridleways. Features and Benefits:• Gravel particles compact under continued use • Rough texture for a natural appearance• Ideal where a simple, low-cost path is required Materials: 50-100mm self-binding gravel Foundations: Self binding gravel can be applied onto a prepared sub base, such as stone (MOT). Artificial Grass Artificial Grass Artificial grass surfaces will perform consistently and look natural, in any climate. Our artificial grass offers the following benefits: • Durable and hard wearing • Impact absorbing • Year round usage • Low maintenance • Constructed with drainage to stay dry underfoot Sport Play Landscape Our artificial sports grass has been tested to meet the highest performance standards required by World Sporting Bodies. Applications: Cricket, football, golf, hockey, rugby, tennis, and multi-sports Features and Benefits:• Natural shock absorption• Enhanced sporting performance• No cancelled matches• No mud or uneven playing fields Foundations: Artificial grass is laid with a shockpad at a specified depth onto min 50mm AC20/14 macadam Strong and durable, yet soft and comfortable to touch, providing a safe play area. Applications: School playgrounds and public play areas Features and Benefits:• Soft and natural looking• Easy installation• No muddy feet Foundations: Artificial grass can be installed onto a prepared hard surface, such as stone (MOT Type 1) or macadam with a shockpad. Sand can be used as an alternative to the shockpad when applied to MOT Type 1 stone. A natural looking surface which mimics the appearance of real grass, providing a ‘just-mown’, all-green look. Applications: Gardens, patios and parks Features and Benefits:• Pet friendly • No mud • No allergy-causing grass pollen• Maintenance free Foundations: Artificial grass can be installed onto stone (MOT Type 1) with a layer of a shockpad. Sand can be used as an alternative to the shockpad. Rubber-Gravel Mix Rubber-Gravel Mix Rubber-Gravel Mix is a blend of rubber and stone which provides a particularly firm, durable and porous surface with good grip and resilience for heavy pedestrian traffic areas. Applications: Sporting arenas, footpaths, canal and river paths, tree pits, cycle ways, cemetery paths, eco-trails or as a macadam replacement in hard to reach locations such as roof tops Features and Benefits:• Durable and hard wearing • Porous • Suitable for wheelchair users, prams and buggies• Low maintenance• Suitable for use all year round Materials: Rubber and Gravel Mix, bound with a high tensile resin Foundations: Rubber-Gravel Mix may be installed onto an existing hard surface such as stone (MOT Type 1). Macadam Macadam Macadam has a wide variety of uses and is commonly seen on roads, car parks, paths and walkways, driveways and playgrounds. Applications: Roads, car parks, driveways and courtyards, paths and walkways, school playgrounds and multi use games areas Features and Benefits:• Durable and hard wearing • Low maintenance• Suitable for heavy traffic • Long lasting Construction:Tarmacadam is a dark, bituminous material which is poured and then subsequently levelled and compacted in order to form the correct gradient. Following installation, the macadam needs to be left to cool for a few hours. It is during this time that the particles bind to form a solid, hard-wearing surface.
