Mrs Dowson’s Ice Cream, a popular local destination for families, wanted to create a vibrant and imaginative play area to enhance the visitor experience. The goal was to provide safe, engaging, and colourful spaces for children, ensuring durability and accessibility for high daily footfall.
Working from detailed design drawings, DCM Surfaces installed over 250m² of wetpour safety surfacing across two distinct play zones.

Play Area 1 featured wetpour in a vibrant combination of orange, bright yellow, light green, and light blue, creating an eye-catching, playful environment.

Play Area 2 included varying depths of wetpour to accommodate mounded play features and differing equipment heights.
Across both areas, three sculpted mounds were incorporated to add depth and physical play value, encouraging climbing and exploration.
