Construction Skills Certification Scheme [CSCS]

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is a UK-based certification scheme for construction workers. It was established in the mid-1990s to improve construction site health and safety standards by ensuring workers have the necessary skills, training, and qualifications to do their jobs safely and efficiently.

The scheme issues a range of different types of cards, each of which indicates the level of skill and experience that the cardholder possesses. For example, a green CSCS card means that the holder has passed the appropriate health and safety test and has basic construction-related knowledge, while a black CSCS card is for managers and professionals with advanced skills and qualifications.

CSCS cards are widely recognised and accepted across the construction industry in the UK, and many employers require their workers to hold a valid CSCS card as a condition of employment.

All DCM Surfaces installers have CSCS cards.
