Catterick Racecourse

Catterick Racecourse is one of the busiest racecourses in North Yorkshire, hosting racing events all year round. The original 1906 stand is still very much apart of the present Grandstand, along with many new alterations and improvements to the course.

In June 2019, Catterick Racecourse re-opened following ongoing £3.5 million three phase redevelopment plans. DCM Surfaces were excited to be involved in the investment and as part of the re-development works were awarded the opportunity to renew the surfacing in the new and improved parade ring.

Wetpour was installed in and around the parade ring to provide a soft touch for the hooves of the winning horses. The cushioned black surface delivered a classic feel to the 17th Century racecourse.
