Higgs Yard Residential Development
DCM recently contributed to the Higgs Yard project, a distinguished residential-led mixed-use development in London, by installing high-quality playground surfacing on a rooftop. This initiative focused on equipping the Higgs Yard rooftop playground with colored EPDM surfacing, engineered to create a secure and engaging play environment for children.
The project required precise planning due to its rooftop location. Specific thicknesses of wet pour were installed to meet a critical fall height of 2.2 meters. The surfaces were carefully selected in vibrant shades of standard light green, dark green, and bright blue to offer a lively and inviting look.
EPDM is renowned for its durability and exceptional shock-absorbent properties, ensuring that the playground will remain a safe and attractive space for children for years to come, with minimal maintenance required.
