The play area was designed to engage children through various “zones” of play, requiring a multi-colored and highly detailed surfacing plan. From a bespoke wooden train to a towering, multi-level climbing adventure, every element needed a safe, durable, and visually thematic foundation.

Thematic Design: We used a vibrant palette of greens, blues, and browns to create “tracks” for the bespoke wooden train and “river” paths that guide children through the play area.

Safety & Durability: The surfacing was laid at various depths to meet the critical fall height requirements of the multi-level climbing structures and slides.

Intricate Detailing: The project required meticulous hand-finishing around the wooden play structures to ensure a seamless and flush interface between the timber and the safety surface.
